2004-08 FLTR, FLHX, FLHRS models requires the seperate purchase of OEM #90781-93 Lower Saddlebag Guard Set, to complete the installation.
Does not allow the use of clamp on saddlebag guards.
WARNING: This engine/frame bar may provide limited leg and cosmetic vehicle protection under unique circumstances (fall over while stopped, very low speed slide).
They are not made nor intended to provide protection from bodily injury in a collision with an automobile or any other object.
These are 1 1/4' in diameter, where your stock ones are 7/8'.
They make a huge improvement in the looks of your bike.
These do not have the holes drilled for the rails that go along the side of the saddlebag, but they do have a stub for the bottom saddlebag support. Installation on 1997-2008 models is a cinch and takes about 15 minutes with minimal tools.
NOTE: On 2009 and Newer Models you will need to cut/custom fit the existing saddlebag supports so that they slide inside the mounting stubs on these guard rails. We do not supply instructions on how to do this.
